SXSW 2014

Wales Arts International supported six Welsh artists to attend South by Southwest (SXSW) Music and Media Conference, 7-16 March 2014, offering the unique convergence of original music, independent films, and emerging technologies.

Artists invited to showcase and received funding from Wales Arts International were Sweet Baboo, Gulp, Until the Ribbon Breaks, and Save Your Breath. Straddling the music and film section of the conference through WAI support were Gruff Rhys and Dylan Goch, who launched their latest multimedia project, American Interior.

Cate Le Bon and Mike Peters and the Alarm concluded the Welsh line-up of performers at SXSW 2014.

Fostering creative and professional growth alike, SXSW is the premier destination for discovery with 18,200+ music delegates and 2,200+ bands showcasing from 55 countries on 100+ stages.
