Creative Europe Desk UK - Wales

Creative Europe is the European Commission’s programme for supporting the culture and media sectors in Europe, supporting projects with the potential to travel, share skills and reach new audiences.

Creative Europe has a budget of €1.46 billion from 2014-2020, and supports:

Culture sector initiatives through four funding streams:

o Cross-border cooperation

o Platforms

o Networking

o Literary Translation

Audiovisual sector, including:

o Festivals

o Audience development

o International co-production funds

o Distribution and online distribution

o Development (for film, TV and games)

o TV programming

A cross-sectoral strand, including:

o A guarantee facility, financial instrument

o Cross sector funding opportunities on themes such as refugee integration
