Description of the Company:
I am a writer and performer who creates works to interrogate the boundaries of close personal relationships. Humour, either in the form of parody, or comedy of manners, is integral to my work in terms of connecting with the audience, sharing my own vulnerabilities whilst tapping into theirs.
- To develop opportunities to tour my current show Cinderella Lives! in the UK, Ireland and abroad.
- To make contact with organisations and/or individuals who are interested in developing future projects or adapting Cinderella Lives!
- To seek out opportunities to develop wraparound activities in terms of youth education and community work.

Cinderella Lives! is a one-woman show that retells ‘Cinderella’ to question the relevance of outmoded social and cultural distinctions that separate people by gender and stymie their personal development. Part tongue-in-cheek performance art, part character-comedy, part burlesque; this show invites the audience to question their viewpoints of themselves as individuals and their understanding of gender roles.
This is a compact show that would be ideal for an arts venue studio space, a literary/arts/culture festival slot or any event focusing on feminism or gender. It has an intimate feel, but offers a range of entertainment as it moves from storytelling, to dance and song sequences.
The production has basic lighting, AV and prop requirements and a degree of flexibility in terms of space and duration. Currently playing on a stage space of 4.88m x 4.88m.
The age range for this show is 14 +
