The list is wide ranging and inspirational, encompassing both individuals and institutions, with many representing the arts and cultural sector.

Today, Arts Council of Wales Chief Executive, Dafydd Rhys expressed his pride that three Arts Council of Wales staff members and a member of Council are included in the list.

Commenting today, Dafydd Rhys, Arts Council of Wales Chief Executive, said:

“It is a matter of huge pride to me that Lleucu Siencyn, Director Arts Development, and Arts Council Member, Ruth Fabby are recognised by the Future Generations Commissioner and included in the list of 100 Future Generations Changemakers. Both have contributed substantially to the principles of the Well-being of Future Generations Act – Lleucu through her championing of the seven well-being goals, and Ruth in her previous role as Disability Arts Cymru Chief Executive championing the importance of disabled people's rights as human rights and articulating the links between art and social change.

“I am also delighted that not one, but two other Arts Council staff members are also listed as Future Generations Leadership Academy Alumni. Gwenfair Hughes for her sterling work as part of the team that are delivering the ground-breaking Creative Learning through the Arts programme, and Portfolio Manager Judith Musker-Turner, who is currently leading the Arts Council’s work on the arts and climate justice.

“However, this is by no means a case of resting on our laurels, and I know that this recognition will spur on my friends and colleagues, to even greater commitment to the crucial principles enshrined in the Well-being of Future Generations Act.”
