We are a bridge between the arts of Wales and the world
How we support artists to work internationally
We encourage our artists and organisations to travel, broaden their experiences and develop new creative connections. We work with them to ensure they’re equipped to make the most of opportunities and showcase Wales’ arts and artists internationally.
Where we work - our global relationships
Whilst we support our artists across the world, we focus our strategic work and partnerships in specific geographical areas. Our current focus is: Europe, China, Canada, and India. We also have a Cultural Programme in Japan with Welsh Government and British Council Japan during the Rugby World Cup and as part of the UK- Japan Year of Culture 2019-20. Closer to home we have a new focus on our sister nation, Ireland.
The world in Wales
Wales is a multilingual, multicultural and diverse nation. We support international projects that inspire people and communities in Wales to engage with each other and the world through the arts.
UN Decade of Indigenous Languages
Through language we can preserve culture, history, customs and traditions, express ourselves, convey our thoughts and build our future.
Pethau Bychain - Small Things
Wales Arts International’s “Pethau Bychain – Small things” campaign encourages simple acts of kindness to others and the planet and highlights artistic work that focuses on well-being.
