Lorna started her career with PwC Cardiff as part of their 2003 graduate intake.  Primarily focusing on private sector audits, she also spent 3 years on secondment in their Brisbane office, before rejoining PwC Cardiff where she managed, and grew, the newly formed accounts preparation team.  In 2014 she left PwC to take up the role of Strategic Lead with the Welsh gender equality charity Chwarae Teg where she spent three years heading up the finance and corporate services teams.  More recently Lorna has also had senior roles at Gwent Police and as Group FD at Amber - a net zero and utility consultancy company.

She has also had volunteer and committee roles including being Chair of Torfaen Leisure Trust, a member of the Audit and Risk Committee for POBL and helping set up a foodbank in her local area - Griffithstown, Pontypool.

Outside her finance career, Lorna is a mother to two football mad, teenage boys, loves yoga and spending time with family and friends.  She also runs a wood-fired pizza business with her husband as a side hustle!

As a child Lorna was obsessed with Art but let her skills and passion slide after doing A-Level Art and Ceramics.  More recently she has been trying to re-learn sewing as a hobby and still enjoys going to the theatre whenever she can.

She is really excited to be moving to a role which will allow her to use her professional experience in a sector that she loves and cannot wait to start in October.
