As part of the overall Cymru Fenis 10 | Wales Venice 10 programme, Artes Mundi is able to offer funds for three small-scale commissions. These sit alongside another series of commissions to be offered by Disability Arts Cymru as well as the ten Fellowships administered by Arts Council of Wales.
The commissions are for Welsh and Wales based visual artists as support toward the development and production of a new project/ artwork. These may be an idea that you already have begun to consider or the opportunity might provide the chance to realise work whose scope and ambition is one that requires necessary financial contribution beyond your current circumstances. You do not need to have an exhibition or any public outcome already in place to be eligible for this opportunity but additional funds are available if access support is required to enable audiences/ participants to engage with the work as either part of its production or in some form of public outcome or final presentation.
