In March 2022, 6 artists from Wales headed to Austin, Texas for the international showcasing festival SXSW. Following a break in international showcasing during Covid-19, for many of the artists, this was their first opportunity to take part in one of the biggest festivals in the calendar. One of those artists was Cara Hammond, who was heading to the US for the first time ever to perform at the Focus Wales showcase, as well as many others. Supported by PRS Foundation's International Showcase Fund, in partnership with Wales Arts International, Cara performed at several showcases and shared her experiences with us as she discovered the city and festival for the very first time.
