The International Learning Opportunities (Welsh Government) scheme is an 8-week opportunity for people in Wales to develop their leadership skills, and to deliver the UN Sustainable Development Goals. The programme is for experienced managers and leaders who live or work in Wales, and successful applicants will collaborate with a diverse group of established partners in Uganda, Namibia, Lesotho or Somaliland.
The range of project expertise also includes specific opportunities in Namibia for those working in arts and crafts, creatives and journalists (written), with potential for artists-in-residence, who meet the following skills:
- ability to work with others
- ability to manage and motivate a diverse group of people
- strong listening and communication skills
- ability to influence people without line management
- strategic thinking
- problem solving
