Fishamble: The New Play Company, Gu Leòr Theatre, and Theatr Bara Caws present

TAIGH/TŶ/TEACH

At Theatr Bara Caws we are delighted to be part of an innovative cross-border partnership, together with Theatre Gu Leòr (Scotland) and Fishamble (Ireland), to deliver a unique trilingual theatrical experience – TAIGH/TŶ/TEACH – to our audiences.

The context of the production is 'house' in the Welsh/Gaelic/Irish communities affected by second homes, empty houses, Air B&Bs, high rents, and a lack of affordable housing for the local people. Three stories highlight the challenges that apply to the three countries, and the challenges that affect the people who live in those communities.

TŶ/TEACH/TAIGH was written by Mared Llywelyn Williams, Mairi Morrison, and Eva O' Connor, and we will be performing site-specific in all three countries.

Canolfan Iaith Nant Gwrtheyrn is the venue in Wales, a venue that will ensure a unique experience for the audience to be immersed in a piece of work in a completely special site. This is a promenade presentation with the audience being guided from one 'location' to another, experiencing the plays in one language after another, and live music weaving throughout.

Welsh abstracts and English subtitles will be available for accessibility.

We will arrange for a bus to transport the audience from the top car park down to Nant Gwrtheyrn to facilitate the arrangements before and after each show.
